The anticipated inauguration of Donald Trump has finally arrived. For some, January 20th will be an exciting new beginning while for others it will be a scary start to what could be a long and disastrous four years. However, as of Friday, there is no turning back.

“While I found Trump to be per se, ‘the better option’, I’m still not completely secure with the results,” junior Tess Hamilton said. “Regardless, Mr. Trump is, in fact, our soon to be the leader that the majority of Americans believe to be the best option for improvement for our country.”

Trump’s inauguration ceremony caused a lot of controversies. Many celebrities refused to perform and more than a handful of politicians openly stated that they are boycotting his inauguration. According to CNN, protests are expected to break out in Washington D.C.

“This isn’t a problem we should be having,” junior Hallei Johnson said. “Trump was elected, Hillary was not.”

Nevertheless, Donald Trump will be sworn in as president of the United States later this week on live TV. If you would like to tune in to see the ceremony, CBSN will begin covering the inauguration starting at 7:00 a.m. and the actual ceremony will begin at 9:30.

Inauguration Schedule:

8:30- Musical Guest Performances

10:30- Opening Remarks

11:00- Trump Will Be Sworn In By John Roberts Followed By A Speech

Following the ceremony, a parade will take place.
