Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time. With the 34-28 overtime victory against the Atlanta Falcons, he proved that. He won his fifth Super Bowl ring, passing legends Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana for the most all-time by a quarterback. Tom Terrific just played one of his most impressive games of his career, and he did it at age 39.

Halfway into the third quarter, it looked like it was over. The New England Patriots were down 28-3 and seemed to have lost all hope. The largest comeback in Super Bowl history (before tonight) was ten, a whole fifteen points less than what the Patriots faced in the third quarter of Super Bowl LI, but if history has taught us anything, it is to never count Tom Brady out.

First, let’s talk about the first half. The league leading Falcons offense looked unstoppable, as they have all season long. Matt Ryan went out there ready to show the world why he was chosen to be the 2016 NFL MVP. He started off hot, leading his Falcons to a 21-3 lead going into the locker room. Devonta Freeman also got off to a great start, opening up the scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run. Another huge factor for the Falcons in the first half was their ability to contain Tom Brady, then nearly put the game away when CB Robert Alford jumped in front of Danny Amendola and ran it 82 yards to the house for the pick six. The Patriots were able to get a field goal at the end of the half, but the Falcons had all the momentum.

Now this is where it gets interesting, after a 6-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan with 8:31 left in the third quarter, the Patriots were ready to shock the world. Tom Brady threw the first Touchdown for the Patriots with about two minutes left in the third (a rare missed PAT by veteran Stephen Gostkowski, but wouldn’t matter in the end). The defense was able to get a stop and put the ball back in Brady’s hands, which led to a field goal by Gostkowski which made it a two possession game. What happens next is what changed the game completely. Dont’a Hightower rushes right by Freeman and strips the ball right out of Matty Ice’s hands and puts the Pat’s in great field position. Of course, Brady takes advantage and, after the 2-point conversion, it’s a one possession game. The Falcons got the ball back and after an incredible catch by Julio Jones, it looked like all comeback hopes were dashed for the Patriots. Then came Trey Flowers, sacking Matt Ryan, knocking the Falcons out of field goal range after an offensive holding penalty, forcing them to punt.

At this moment, the Falcons fans are begging for mercy. Starting at his own 9 yard line, Tom Brady catches fire. He throws the ball down the field 23 yards and nearly gets picked off, but Wide Receiver Julian Edelman was not ready to go home, and made the most incredible catch you will ever see, and sets the Patriots up for yet another touchdown and two-point conversion. It’s a tie game. The Super Bowl will see Overtime for the first time in NFL history. Patriots win the toss, Brady catches fire, game over. The New England Patriots are Super Bowl champions once again.

The G.O.A.T threw for 466 yards (Super Bowl record) and 2 TDs to win his 4th SB MVP. Now all that needs to happen, is for all the Brady haters to shut up. He is without a doubt the best player to EVER play the game of football. He is 39 years old and he is playing like he is 28. The deflategate was two freaking years ago and there was no proof he was even involved. No other player even comes close to what he has done and the debate for who is the best needs to stop now. So all the Dolphins, Steelers, and 49ers fans can think what they want, but who has five rings? Tom Brady.
