Today the National Honor Society hosts their school-wide blood drive. Twice a year, the National Honor Society works through Carter Blood Care to give students and teachers the chance to make a difference. Over 130 people signed up to donate blood, and many more volunteer their time to keep the blood drive running smoothly. For each person who donated, three lives were able to be saved. Seniors have to donate blood twice during the school year to be eligible for the red cord. Students donated blood from 7:30 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon.
