The UIL team will compete at Mabank tomorrow for the first UIL meet of the season.

Many teams are already working hard in preparation for the UIL season,” UIL coordinator Richard Baty said. “I am very excited and think we have an excellent chance to win the Sweepstakes trophy.”

Since 1910, University Interscholastic League (UIL) has grown to be the largest inter-school organization of its kind in the world. Many students are eager to start the season, and others are looking forward for the chance to beat rival schools.

“I feel really confident since I know that a lot of computer science seniors have just graduated–especially from Lindale and the region,” senior Cyrus Mahdavi said. “I do want Lindale to choke on their own tears.”

The entire team are doing their best to prepare for the upcoming meets and to win in as many events as possible.

I’m trying out a couple [of] new events this year and am ready to start them,” junior Sarah Green said. “I’m really excited for this year and I can’t wait to get this season started!”
