Physics teacher Meghan Standley will be leaving the high school on September 13th.

“It’s very sad that I have to leave after five years of teaching here,” Standley said. “I’ve made a lot of good relationships with all the teachers and students here. Although it is sad, I’m really looking forward to the opportunities for my family in Beaumont.”

It was announced on September 11th that former physics teacher Tom Young will be taking over the morning physics classes.

“It breaks my heart that Mrs. Standley is leaving,” junior Tamara Ramirez said. “She’s really a sweet, kind and funny teacher.”
