Ad Astra follows Astronaut Roy McBride (Brad Pitt), the son of the legendary commander Clifford McBride, who travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet.

As I was watching this movie, I felt irritated with the main characters for their way of thinking. The way the would tackled problems just confused me. I was also very conflicted on who was good and who was bad.

While watching this movie many plot twists were reveleved. We learn that McBride, a well respected and cherished commander, kills his fellow crew while on the ship. Not to mention, he has been alive all this time and allowed his family to search for him.

The tone of the movie was very easy to spot from the get go. Every moment was very climentic and heartfelt. The creators of this movie really wanted the audience to feel for the characters of this movie.

After careful consideration, I have to say I would not recommend this movie to anyone who does not absolutely love space movies. I would give this movie three stars out of five.
